OBITUARY.JESTER.Jas. M. Jester was born in Tad kin county, N. C., June 11, 183C where he passed the years of hi early manhood. He was married t Mary Fletcher, December 3, 1851 bringing the golden wedding anni versary on December 3 of last yeai Six children blessed this union, fou sons (two having passed on before and two daughter^, who with th wife and mother are left to mour the departure of their loved one.The family moved to Indiana i 1805 and from there to Iowa in 187 where he has since resided.He died of paralysis, February ' 1901, aged 70 yrs. 7 mos. and20dayi Deceased was a member of th United Brethren church and lived consistent Christian life, Ther was no place so dear to him as hi own home and family. He was model husband and father*, n coarse or profane words ever grate , upon his children’s ears faille t from his lips. He loved the beat ties of nature. His end was peao ful and painless and a fitting clot* to his earnest Christian life.A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled;A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled.’Tis hard to break the tender cord When love has bound the heart; ’Tis hard, so hard to speak the wor We must forever part.\ Yet again we hope to meet him, When the day of life is fled,And in Heaven with joy greet him Where no farewell tears are she*Mrs. James Jester and childri desire to extend their heartfe 3 thank* to their many friends f; their kindness during the sickne£ and death of their loved one.
