Prom Missouri.—Rev. S. K. Fowler, writing' • klrom Flint Hill Circuit, Missouri Conforeneo,k .*•• •says:“Our prospects of the Mint Hill Circuit are quite encouraging. We hare large, attentive congregations, and, at most points, a deep religious interest is manifest. I closed a protracted meeting at Ht. Zion church last Friday evening. The result of that meeting was fifteen accessions to our Church, and a number professed justifying grace—£ do not know how many. I have receive! thirty into.the Church since Conference.“ Thank God, though we are persecuted, we are not forsaken ; though they try to cast us down, yet we are not destroyed. Pray for us on JPlint Mill Circuit, that we may see greater displays of divine power, in the awakening, ana in th8 conversion, of precious soui3.,,Eev. A. Spencer, writes from the Ashley Circuit (same. Conference), the following:“The Advocate will please say to the friends of Zion that God is with us on the Ashley Circuit. Our Second Quarterly was held at Nally’s Chapel, commencing the 18fh of January, which lasted* nine days: the ^result was several conversions, and nine additions, to the Church, and the membership much revived.Our prospects are brightening/ our congregations are increasing, and the interest of the work is increasing. May God carry on hiswork over the head of every opposition.9!The following has been clipped from one of the secular papers of the State:“ A most interesting meeting has been in progress at fhe Methodist Church/ South, in jJexington, under the ministration of Eev. Mr* Shackelford, for the last week, aad^ although but few, if any, have made a profession of religion as yet, a feeling of great devotion and earnestness is manifested by the congregation, and the = members of the Church .have beengreatly blessed and encouraged.’1
