sin.FAIR PLAY*During the past week, we have visited this magic place, (and it well deserves the namef) where, eight month* ago, not a dwelling wa» to be founds there is now a thriving village, full of life, bustle, and activity of business* About the Aral of July last, home discoveries of mineral were made at this place, about one mile weal of Hinainawa Mound, tit the vicinity ot the residence of Gen* Qeo. W. Jones, since which time, several Urge tadt* of mineral have been discovered, and now, a thousand enterprising men are tearing up the surface of old Mother Earth, in aeareh of the hidden treasure. The town of Fair-Ptuy proper contain* at tHU time about00 building*? among them are 3 taverns, 8 stores, 3 grocery and provision at ores, 1 bUckamith shop,1 market, 1 livery stable, and 1 school-house; there is a Temperance Society, containing 100 members; there are also 3 justice# oF the pence, and any quantity of fine fellows. In the vicinity of Fair-Play there U a number of little villages, named ac-cording to the fancy of ihe first settler** “ No Gouging, “Pinch Gut/* “Tail Hole/1 all containing an industrious population* and of which Fair-Play is the great centre.
