Duensing, a 40-year resident of Crete, formerly a longtime resident of Chicago Heights, died Friday, Feb. 5, at Anchorage of Beecher Nursing Home, Beecher.A service willbe at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Crete Funeral Home, Crete,with the Rev. John Ryan of St. Mary Catholic Church, Park Forest, officiating. Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery, Monee.Visitation will be today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.Mr. Duensing was bom June 28, 1927, in Chicago Heights. He ameat cutter for Century Foods, retiring in 1983 after 20 years of service. He owned and operated the Ice Cream Village in Crete from 1973 to 1985; a longtime member of the Crete Lions Club, served on board of directors, and was past president; chairman of the Lions Club Flowers and Memorials Program; former chairman of the Crete Lions Club Book Fair and Antique and Art Fair at Balmoral Race Track; and was part of the clubs nominating committee, a Candy Day volunteer, and a recycling building volunteer. For the past 11 years, he was a delivery driver for the Finishing Touch Florist inCrete.He is survived by his wife, Della (nee Simone); two daughters, Cheryl Duensing of Crete and Mary (Lance) Murphy of Medinah; a son, Richard (Joanna) of St. Charles; two sisters, Dolores (Frank) Wegrzyn of Lansing and Ruth (Melvin) Kranz of Homewood; and seven grandchildren.Duensing
