»D. D. Jefcoat toCelebrate His*A big get-together celebration is being planned for Sunday, February 12, at the home of D. D. Jefcoat m Bruce community. The gathering is being planned in honor of the birthdays of father and son, D, D. Jefcoat and Jesse D. Jefcoat.Uncle Dempsey, as he is known by those who love him, will be 80 years old on Friday, February 17th. His eldest son, Jesse D., will be 41 years old Sunday, February 12th. The family and friends are taking advantage of the Sunday nearest to the two birthdays and are planning the all-day celebration with music and singing and dinner served in the middle of the day.It is interesting to note that Uncle Dempsey’s present home is just across the road from where he settled as a child with his parents when they came to Mississippi from North Carolina about 75 years ago.
