Kelvyn, Steinmetz both break evenLast week was break even week for Kelvyn Park and Steinmetz, the two area entries in the Blue-North division of the Public cage league.The Panthers of Kelvyn dropped a 68 to 65 overtime heartbreaker to Amundsen on Wednesday but came back on Friday to take the measure of the Silver Streaks of Steinmetz. 50 to 44 Before losing to the Panthers, the Streaks had taken the measure earlier in the week of Taft, 54 to 47.After last weeks cage smoke had cleared away Steinmetz remained in third place with a 5-3 league record The Panthers were resting in the fourth spot with a 3-5 record.Kelvyn's lone foe this week will be Mather. Steinmetz will have two opponents, Amundsen this afternoon on the home floor and MatherFriday on the Mather courtFriday’s Kelvyn-Steinmetz tussle was a barnburner all the way. It was deadlocked at halftime, 22 to 22.
