Three From Local Area To Receive DegreesAmong Univarsity of Illinois students who completed work this month for midyear degrees are Linus H. Horcher, BS. Columbia and William E. Butler, BS and Paul Frey, BS, both of Waterloo.Graduates were honored Sunday, Jan. 27, at a convocation at. which U. S. Sen. John F. Kennedy of Massachusetts spoke. Following the convocation, the graduates, their families, and friends were guests at a reception given by Pres, end Mrs. David D. Henry.The convocation, following the last day of examinations, was not a commencement cerermony since grades and diplomas were not ready. No caps or gowns were worn. Midyear graduates who wish to receive their diplomas in a Commencement ceremony may take part in the annual June event.
