Johnson was born in the state of Mississippi in 3SG7, and die:! at. h:s home near Malpie on January 23, 1925, aged 57 years, 1 month and 17 days. lt;At the ago of 17 Mi Johnson moved to Texas and at about the same lime became a member of the Missionary Baptist church, oi' which he remained .t member until the day of his death.He was united in marriage with Mrs. Julia Smith on August 5, IHI‘0. Four children were born to this union as follows: Errin Johnson of FortVvorfh, Texas; Mrs. Thomas Huston .lfMaxwell, New Mexico; I.. V. John-:on of Malpie, New Mexico, and Mrs. Minnie Huston, deceased. The family -.'’me to New Mexico mi 191.7.Funeral services were held at the Mountain- View chuich on January 25, at 2 o’clock p. m., and interment was nude in the cemetery at that place.The service was conducted by Rev. J.»T. Malcom.Mr. Johnson was a good man and a od citizen. He v;i j an indulgent father. He has passed on to his reward for a life that was well spent.
