OBITUARY Jeff ivy L. Johnson was born in the |state of Mississippi in 18G7, and died I at h:s home near Mai pie on January 23, 1925, aged D7 years, 1 month and 17 clays. lt;At the age of 17 Mi Johnson moved j to Texas and at about the same time became a member of the Missionary Baptist church, of which he remained .i member until the day of his death.He was united in marriage with Mrs. Julia Smith on August f, 18i‘0. Four children were born to this union as follows: Errin Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Thomas Huston .ifMaxwell, New Mexico; I.. V. John-:on of Malpie, New Mexico, and Mrs. Minnie Huston, deceased. The family jsme to New Mexico hi 1915.Funeral services were held at the Mountain-View chinch on January 25, at 2 o’clock p. in., and interment was .nude in the cemetery at that place. Tin* service was conducted by Rev. J. T. Malcom.Mr. Johnson was a jfood man and n •'ood citizen. He v.i an indulgent father. He has passed on to his reward for a life that was well spent.
