The funeral of Mrs. V. M. HoV * ^ \ fmeek (nee AmtsLazie Hejl) who died January 29ili of influenza at her home after an illness of three dn.\s, was held last Friday The remains were taken from the home to the Catholic church in town and buried in the adjoining cemetery. V\ ords of consolation were spoken by Rev. Father Chu-dacek of Lesterville at the home and a forceful sermon delivered at the church by Kt. Rev. Monsignor Rouska. The dcceused was born in Yankton county April 3, 1881v and has grown to womanhood on the farm of her parents east of Ta bor. Ou November 12, 1901, she was married to Vac. M iloracek and pursued farming on their farm 2 miles north of town. She contracted the influenza and gave premature birth to a child which lived but 24 hours and the mother died shortly after.. Both were bu ried in one grave. She is surviv ed by her husband and six small children, namely: William lfiyrs. of age, llattie 14, Joku 12, Lillian 11, Daniel 6 and Vaclav 4. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Heyl, three brothers, J. J., Frank and Mike Hale, and four sisters, Mrs. Jos. Carda. Mrs John Vitek, Mrs. Fr. J.
