BY W. E. TEGNER (Staff member of The Boomerang.) Superintendent of Schools Sinclair today received the report of the first semester from Professor Baker of the Laramie High School. The number of students failing and the number of subjects in which they are below the passing mark 13 in 1; 14 in 2; and 2 in 4. This makes 41 failures, just exactly the same num ber as last year. Of this number, 16 are, boys, 25 girls. Last year's rec ord shows, 18 boys and 23 girls. The 4 improving. There are 64 every subject. Five boys and ‘girls are failing in one sub ject; five boys and nine girls are failing in two; six boys and six girls in three; and only two girls in four. Most of those falling in but one or two subjects will be able to make them up. The superintendent says that the senior class this year are making a better record than any previous sen ior class. Sixteen Pupils Promoted Sixteen pupils have been promoted from the sixth grade to the junior high school. Those who were lucky enough to be advanced are: James Adamson, Eugene Busby, Everett Coffman, Hazel Coffman, Leona Dan iel, Ethel Dennings, Eula George, Alice Garrett, Albert Hunziker, Alfred Johnson, Florence Rushworth Enoch Spicer, Audrey Smart, Gladys Spick elmier, Frank Viner and Raphel Mat thews. They will be known as the D” class. Starting with this semester, the pu pil in the junior high will be promot ed by subjects and not years as for merly. They have a regular schedule like the regular high school and have faculty teachers. The classes will be known as “A,” B,” C and “D, in stead of Sth A, 8th B, Tth A and 7th B, as formerly. Civic government and “American Beginnings in Europe’’ have been added to the course this semester.
