Cruelty, Criminal Practices and Moral DegeneracyMr. and Mrs. T- C. Thompson, residing on the north county line, and Mrs. J. M. Inman, of Salem in Fremont county, related a tale of a man's brutality in the prolate court Monday morning, that dots not seem possible in this big west. The story goes that a brute by the name of Ralph Nuby, a saw mill hand, committed a crime last September that is classified as \ manslaughter, cn an infant child. That | for years he has abused his wife, who has since been released from bis brutality by death, the result of being le't alone while in a partially paralysed condition and her clothes catching on fire, while attempting to wait upon herself. His brutality to his two sons, the criminal neglect of his three sweet little daughters, thtir finding a home! with Mrs- Inman, who has cared for them for the past four years, this leading down to the present time when the three kindly hearted people Monday appealed to Probate Judie Jensen \nd County Attorney Good to provide a way by which the oldest daughter | might be adopted by the Thompson ?, the two younglt; r daughters might go to relatives in Utah, and the boys be ier-m it ted to make their home also with the Thompson’s. Mrs. Inman's story s to the effect that a practicing physician in Fremont county was cognizant of the facts relative to the man committing manslaughter, but that the facts! were nevtr made public by him. The Fremont county authorities ir.ust be in a trance to let such a condition exist without having brought th 1 gi.i'tv man to justice.
