The arch is divided into twenty-four hours, with degrees, and! contains the signs of Zodiac and the time of high and low water at Tymemouth. The musical part of the clock consists of a small barrel organ of twenty-four reeds, which plays six tunes, and a chira© of twenty-one bells, which can also chimr a simple well-known air. It has u quarter chime on eight bells, with proper quarter chime,, or it will pla.v the air. or chime the full ten quarters at each quarter. The musical arrangements can lie set to playn r ony hour, or nt pleasure. The following is H curious feature in (be mechanism of tha clock : Jn the centre of the raso. immediately beneath the dial, is n figure, supposed to represent our Lord ; on each side of the figure is u small door opening Into the l-ody of the case, and three Iimos n day. while the organ pln.Vs three tunes, one of the small doors open and twelve figures, representing the twelve Apostles, appear and march in procession—St. Pelor at their head—nnd each in turn as it ivisses hows with it« head towards the figure of our Lord, and then, resuming its former position. move* slowly forward (ill it reaches the door on the left, through which each fieure disappears. The figure rei«rr-seniine Juda* Iscariot comes last, nnd is made to pass with its back to the figure of our Ix*rd—one hand shielding the face nnd the other grasping n hag. Each corner of the pretty dial contains a good represent tion of the seasons The principal parts of the mechnnism on the clock is CSra-h,nil's dead bent, centre seconds, gridiron pendulum. The works ore enclosed in n maSsive mahogany rase, and anyone who take? on interest in delicate and intricate irtechanism will be well pleased with n visit to this ingenious and curious clock.CJose pea red Brisba fore I Meaart strong charge stolen ridgoe 10/-.
