Man Well Known and Related to Shelby County People Passes Away at Shirley. William Bowman, for many years as resident of this county, residing in Van Buren township, died Monday afternoon at his home in Shirley, Ind., the result of a stroke of paraly sis several days ago. Mr. Bowman was an old soldier and was aged about sixty-five years. He served thru the war of the rebellion with honors to himself and country. Mr. Bowman leaves a wife, one son, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Lucas; one granddaughter, Miss Smith, of Fountaintown; one sister, Mrs. Jones, of this city, and another, Mrs. James Howe, of Hendricks township, and three brothers, Mell, Lon and Maloun. Funeral services will be held at ten a. m. Wednesday at Fountaintown and interment will be made in Forest Hill cemetery, the local G. A. R haying charge of the funeral.
