AT THE COURT HOUSE.Callahau SeDtenced—Several Chamber*Matters Settled.Yesterday was another busy day at the Nelson court house. In the morning His Honor Judge Forin held a session of the speedy trials court at which two prisoners appeared. The first was Patrick Callahan, charged with the theft of a diamond ring val ued at 8150 from Mrs. Cardenal of Movie. Callahan elected to be tried speedily and pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment in the provincial jail. Another charge of breaking jail at Fernie was then heard. Callahan pleaded guilty to this also and was sentenced to three months’ impiisonment, the sentences to be concurrent.
