NASHUA — The local level of the annual Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Championship will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Hall. The competition is open to boys and girls ages 10-14. Participants will be required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent. Ages are determined as of Jan. 1. Entry forms are available at most elementary and junior high schools, or at the Knights of Columbus hall at 173 Chestnut St. For information, contact Dennis L. Guilbert at 888-4509. Tarbox wins first racquetball crown NASHUA — Dave Tarbox won his first racquetball club championship in a hard-fought battle over doubles partner Mike Dobens in the club championships at Off the Wall Racquet and Fitness Center over the weekend. The consolation winner was Paul Wallace, who teamed with Carl Savage to finish second in the doubles final, losing to Peter Messier and Joe Husson Sr. Brian Jean captured the B Division, beating Dave Brennan in the finals, while Brian Bustead was the consolation winner. The C Divisin winner was Phil Graniewicz, who beat Fran McFarland. Tom Daley took the consolation prize. The D Division went to Norm Burgess. Jay Retkevicz finished second and Greg West was third. Jean and Bustead combined to win the B/C doubles over Rich Hathaway and Dave Brennan. Junior winners were Justin Wallace, Jeff Cotton, Jeff Aldous and Brian Lesieur.
