BILLINGS () — A _ 32-year-old Billings woman, Mrs. Mary Little Boy, Friday was reported in se rious condition, 24 hours after she was shot through the head in the climax of what police described as a family dispute. Her surgeon reported she re gained consciousness following sur gery and she was taken off the critical list. He said her chances of living appear to be ‘“‘fair.”’ Detective Capt. R. L. Wilson said a 35-year-old woman had signed a statement admitting she fired a .22 caliber rifle at Mrs. Little Boy. The bullet struck above the left eye and came out above the left temple. Wilson said the shooting occurred in front of the home of Mrs. Little Boy’s brother, Abe Vallie Jr. The detective said police had at tempted to resolve the family dif ferences before the shooting. No charges have been filed in connection with the shooting.
