JOHN C. MURPHY John C. Murphy, 73, of Sinsin awa, Wis., died Sunday afternoon at Hazel Green, Wis. He had been ill the last four months. Friends may call at the Ash worth and Bennett funeral home, from where services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday to Sacred Heart church in Dubuque. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Murphy was born Sept. 11, 1878 in Burlington, Ia. He came to Du buque when a young man and liv ed here most of his life. He was employed at the Milwaukee shops for a number of years. He was a member of Sacred Heart church Surviving ‘area sister, Mrs. Ma ble Abbott, of Los Angeles, Calif., and two grandnieces, Virginia and Arline Ellwanger, of Dubuque. He was preceded by his parents and a brother.
