M., February 3.—A messenger has just arrived here, from Lieutenant Maus command at Lang's ranch, in this territory thirty mites east of Guadalupe canyon, bringing the news of the surrender of Geronimo to Lieut, Maui. No conditions were made with him. Before surrendering, he was anxious to know what terms he mild receive. Lieutenant Maus told him th.it all he could promise was to deliver him safely to General Crook at Fort Bowie.Geronimo was accompanied by several members of his band.
