Fire,Last Friday noon theory offire was raised and it was . soon*observed that the tenement hoase of Dr. J. F. Henderson, situated on High Street, east of Laiount-aine, was in flames. A large number of citizens rushed to the scene of the conflagration, many of them to look on as usual and a a few to work. The engino was soon on the ground, also a new“fire extinguisher, which hap-pened to be In the city on exhibition. In a few moments the fire was extinguished but not until all of the goods inside, sash and doors had been / removed.A part of the roof was burn* ed off.
