Arrested.—Ira Davenport, one of the Davenport brothers, was arrested at Sturgis, last week for refusing to take out a license to exhibit 41 spiritual manifestations in demonstration of the soul's immortality.” After a hearing, he was required to give bail in tbe sum of $*200. Immediately after his bonds were given, he was again arrested for giving exhibitions without a government license. This he paid. Still another suit was entered by the village of Sturgis for the same cause. Considerable excitement prevails in regard to the matter.
