%The Royal Naval Hospital, Stonehouse.—In aprevious number of the Nautical Standard, we referred to and gave extracts from a letter written by Dr. Armstrong, commenting strongly upon tbe circumstances which led to his being removed from the medical staff of this establishment, and concluding with a paragraph of “ questionable taste ” upon the motives which had led to it, on the part of the Inspector General of Hospitals. Six 'William Burnett has, since then, addressed the following letter to the Editor of the Journal in which Dr. Armstrong’s communications appeared :—“ Sir,—My attention having been called to a letter published in your paper, of the 18th instant, signed Robert Armstrong, M.D., and affecting to detail a “ late occurrence at the Royal Naval Hospitalbut, obviously intending an atrocious slander against me, I deem it proper to enable you to record my declaration, that the imputations so conveyed or insinuated, are wickedly and most utterly false. The publication itself will be otherwise dealt with.“ I am, Sir, your obedient servant,“ W. Burnett.”
