It will be of Interest to the friends of the Boy Scout Movement in Good-land to know that a week from today February the eighth, (marks the eighth anniversary of the founding of the movement in America. From a small group of a few boys it now numbers more than 292,000 in its ranks. The Scouts have beeW doing some very valuable government work of late, in the Liberty Loan campaign, and in the present campaign of government publicity. Each regularly enrolled scout is deputized by the United States Government to act as a dispatch bearer for Uncle S*a- And the scouts feel the honor and the responsibtlty. Let us all assist them in practicing the “helpfulness of the higher manhood.The anniversary day will be liitting-ly observed by the local troop. A banquet will be spread at the school house in thoir honor. It will be a “father and sons affair a good get-together for them all—SCOUTMASTER
