Peter Severson, better known as ‘Black Pete” was arrested last Sat urday and brought to town for fighting and threatening to kill one Nelson. I t seems that these parties had some trouble about Nelson putting his team in Severson’s barn and after having a round with their fists that Severson went to the house after his revolver and chased Nelson home. He was brought before Esquire McCready who fined him $10 and cost for assault and battery. He paid the S10 but was again arrested and being unable to give bonds to keep the peace was sent to jail. however, we understand that he has since fur nished bail and is now out.
