CIUM.K* H. LTVKS.Mr. Lines is the member from Wabaunsee county. lie was born and reared in Connecticut, and was formerly a member of the Legislature of that State. He is probably the oldest member of the House, his age being fifty-three years. All who are posted iu the history of the Territory for last three or four years, know Mr. ^Mes by reputaiiou, at least. Ho has in allthe conventions of lire Territory, and bis advice is always listened to with respect, and bis couue! heeded by those V*is experienced in political matters. He is one of the ablest members of the House. In politics, be is generally ^pnsidered a radical Republican. He came to Kansas in 1856, at the head of a company pledged to the Freedom of Kansas. His good influence has been felt on the history of K*ri?a«, since bis residence here.
