Pleasure Lanes was the scene, Saturday and Sunday, January 21 and 22, of the Western Canada house Roll-offs. Drumheller is to send seven men and seven women bowlers to Red Deer, February 11th and 12th to compete in the Central Alberta eliminations. From Red Deer, the top seven men and seven women proceed to the Western Canada Championships. The only Drumheller bowler to ever reach the Western Canada Championships, Aline Frank, will attempt to duplicate her 1966 feat. She topped the local roll-offs this last weekend, checking in with a pinfall of 2,665 for 12 games. The men’s high score went to Jack Stewart, of Morrin, who rolled a 2,842. The highest score registered in a single game during the Plea sure Lanes’ roll-offs was picked up by Ling Munroe, who had a 363.
