William Bennett Hurts Leg in Planing Mill, Blooming burg Items BLOOMINGBURG, Feb. 1— Misses Julia Quinn and Elizabeth Murray of New York City, have been spending several days at the summer home of the Murray fam ily on North street. Leslie Weaver, of Passaic, N. J., spent the week-end here with his wife and relatives. Miss Minnie Hagen who teaches at Woodbourne was a week-eval vis itor at the home of her mother, near this village. Will of Moses Scott The will of Moses Scott, late of Burlingham, has been admitted to probate. To John Scott, of Burling ham, is given all the real estate together with the household fur niture. The personal property is given to Charles Scott, of Bloom ingburg; James Scott, of Bethel, John Scott, Rubin Scott, and George Scott, all of Burlingham, Share equally. Nelson B. Miller, of Bloomingburg is named executor and the witnesses to the will are George Lord and Samuel Ostran der. The property is valued at $2200. Surrogate George L. Cook hag appointed Clarence B. Newhouse, and George F. Hamilton, Jr., ap praisers of the estate. Mr. Scott who was a civil war veteran, died August 24, 1926. Rev. Father M. F. Farrington ‘conducted services Sunday morn tg ain the Church of the Assuitipiortte 'Father Farrington preached an ine structive sermon on the “Ten Com mandments.” The services at St. Paul's Church, Bullville, were al so conducted by Father Farrings ton, The Ladies Auxiliary of the WW ER. Church will meet Thursday af ternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. William H. Chardevayne. Former Resident Injured Word has been received from South Jacksonville, Fla., that Wil liam Bennett a former High View ‘resident was badly injured in that city several weeks ago. Mr. Ben nett conducts a planing mill at ‘South Jacksonville, and while at work his leg was caught in a move ing belt, and nearly torn from hi body. _ Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moshier are so former residents of High View and who have a winter home at Clearwater, Fla., have closed the home and gone to South Jacksons ville, to remain with Mr. and Mire Bennett. Messrs Bennett and Moe ehier are brothrn-in law. The nett family formerly conducted the Shawangunk mountain house at High View. Word was received Sunday fn nouncing the death of Mrs. George Garvin at Port Jervis. Mrs. Garvin was the widow of George Garvin a former resident. Funeral serv lces held at Port Jervis today. Farewell Party This morning Misses Aurelia Clapham, Marjorie Jones and Eleanore Bischoff left for New York City, where they will enter Roosevelt Hospital and commence a course in trained nursing Sat urday evening they were given a farewell party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Youngs, east of this village. An enjoyable evening was spent. Music, singing, dancing were enjoyed and various kinds of games were played, and refresh ments served. Reformed Church Notes Rev. M. F. Luther conducted the Reformed Church services Sunday s in the chapel, which was nearly fl ed at both meetings. In the morn ing Rev. Mr. Luther preached a cermonette to the young people. His topic was “A Copper Penis. This was followed by the regular services and the pastor chose for this theme “Our Christian Life. The choir sang “Stand Up For Jesus.” “I Am Thine, Oh! Lord” and “He Follows in his Train.” Miss Fthel Gowdey presided at the organ.
