Anna Knowlton was born, in Catur-agas County, New York, on Nov. 22. 1839. When a small child, she with her parents, moved to Wisconsin, and in the year 1854 came to Lime Springs, Iowa. She was married to H. P. Marsh Nov. 24, 1S60 at Lime Springs, Iowa. To this union was born three children, Della, now Mrs. F. W. Hawk of Linden, Iowa, Wiine who passed awaj in the year 18?^, Milton, now residing in Portland, Ore* gon. Mr. Marsh died April 19, 1SS-3. She moved, aflej several years, to St. Paul, Minn., where in the year 1896 she was united in marriage to ;G. J„ SComesn. Mr. Somsen's death cccured Oct, 3, 1912. In the year j 11919 she came to Perry, Iowa, where she remained u. ti! hen going to the ; j Heavenly Home on Jan, 24,1923. She i was a member of the Presbyternn i Church for about sixty-five years. She was the last member of a family i of eight.To know her was to love her, heri life was spent in seeking the hapoin-! ess of others, and her friends are legion. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter, Della Hawk of Linden, Iowa, who so faithfully caned for her in her last illness, one son Milton of Portland. Oreg'm, two step-sons, Henry and Steve Somsen of Minnesota, three grand children and five great grandchildren and a host of friends.Funeral services were held at Ferry Friday, and at Lime Springs Saturday afternoon. The remains Were laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Ccmc*tery.
