FRAMINGHAM, Jan 31—A committee chosen at the annual town meeting last March to consider a memorial to Framingham men who most their lives in the World War has under considera tion the taking of several valuable prop erties at the Intersection of Concordat and Union or for the erection of a pul se building at some future time. The parcels are in the business center of the town and represent a valuation of approximately $100,000. That the town may not plunge into the proposition of destroying good busi ness sites, a suggestion has been ad vanced that a building commemorating the men who died in the war might be erected at the corner of Concord and Sangersts, forming the third building of a group in a general scheme of the Framingham Civic League for the eater good of the greater number of mingham people in a community center. The first building of the group, a swimming pool, was erected three years ago. A second building, a public gym nasium, is shortly to be erected. It is to be a memorial to the founder of the Dennison Manufacturing Company, Eliphalet W. Dennison, and will repre sent a gift of at least $100,000. In view of the liberality displayed by citizens in establishing the community center, there is a growing sentiment that as the town purposes the erection of a memorial to its men in the late war, the place for such a building would be on the Civic League lot at the corner of the streets mentioned, and permit the more Valuable parcels on Concord stand Union ay to be de voted to business development.
