Pomeroy, Iowa. October 5, 1936. The regular meeting of the Town Council was called to order by May or Drummer with Councilmen pres ent: DeVolder, Johnson, Linder and Voss. Absent Hanlin. Moved by Linder that the Clerk be instructed to issue warrant ir amount of $2154.28 being in payment of the George F. Guy Judgment of Two Bonds with interest and costs $145.08 and $8.60 to October 5, 1938. Seconded by Voss. On roll call mem bers voting DeVolder, yes. Hanlin, yes. Johnson, yes. Linder, yes. Voss, yes. Carried. Moved by Linder that the Resolu tion form No. 662 Project FA WPMH WPGM-10BCDE (Under pass) on 5-17 paying as on file be adopted. Seconded by Johnson. On roll call members voting DeVolder, yes. Hanlin, yes. Johnson, yes. Lin der, yes. Voss, yes. Carried. Moved by DeVolder that the Clerk be instructed to issue warrant on the Treasurer for $87.50 in favor of H C. Hodds as refund on Cigarette Li cense canceled as of September 30, 1936. Seconded by Johnson. On roll call members all voting Aye. Car ried. Moved by Hanlin that a Cigarette License be granted and Surety Bond be approved for W. H. Gerrets as of October 1st, 1986. Moved by Linder that the Clerk be instructed to issue warrants for the Coupons due November 1st on Judgment Bonds Sept. 15, 1924, Ser ie 3 with a total amount of $587.50 from the Bond Fund being bonds Nos. 19 to 45 inclusive except Nos. 22 and 35 having been paid hereto fore. Seconded by DeVolder. On rolll call members voting DeVolder, yes. Hanlin, yes. Johnson, yes. Linder, yes. Voss, yes. Carried. No further business appearing Johnson moved that we adjourn. SCHMIDT, Clerk, Fil im The Herald is $2.50 per year. ?ORIGINAL NOTICE to the above named defendants: You and each of you are hereby notified that there is now on file in t the office of the clerk of the district court of Calhoun County, Iowa, a settion in equity, wherein the plain tff named above claims and alleges that he is the owner in fee simple of the North 13 feet of Lot Number and the South 10 feet of Lot Num ber 2, all in Block 4 of the Original Town of Pomeroy in Calhoun Coun ty, Iowa, and further alleges that said defendants claim some right, ‘itle or interest in said premises ad versesto the title, rights and estate of this plaintiff, and that the par ticular nature or extent of the claimed rights, title or interest of said defendants, or any of them, in anc to said premises are to this plaintiff unknown, and that he has diligently searched for the names and residences of said defendants and that they are unknown to this plaintiff, and that he and his pre ious grantors in the chain of title “0 said real estate have been in ac tual, open, peaceable, notorious, hos tile and undisturbed possession of said premises under claim of right and color of title for a period of ten years last past, and in said pe tition plaintiff prays that his title, rights and estate in said premises be confirmed, established and quieted in him as against the adverse claims of the said defendants or any of them and that each and every one of said defendants and any one claiming by, through or under them be forever barred and estopped from having or claiming ‘any right, title or interest in and to the above des cribed premises adverse to the right, title and interest of this plaintiff. for more particulars you are re fered to ‘said petition. Now unless you appear and defend in the above entitled cause on or before noon of the second day of the February Term, 1987, of said court, which will commence at the court house in Rockwell City, Calhoun County, Iowa, on the First day of February, 1937, default will be en tered against you and each of you and judgment rendered thereon as prayed in qaid petition.
