WILL LET A CONTRACT Tunnel Will Be Driven Two Hun dred Feet on Mines on Upper Snake River A meeting was held last night at the Jewelry store of H. Hames by the direc tors of the Lewiston Gold Mining Milling company, for the purpose of re ceiving bids on driving a 100 foot or 200 foot tunnnel on their minting property, situated near Tama Point, twenty-five miles above Lewiston on the Snake river. The Lewiston Gold Mining Milling company, Ltd. was incorporated last spring with a capital of $1,000,000, with par value of stock at $1.00 per share. H. Hames is president; B. A. Hilliard, vice president; J. E. Nickerson, secre tary; those with J. E. Wilks, @. F. Car son, H. Henker, J. E. Kincaid and L. H. Hilliard constitute the board of direc tors. The company owned eight claims, namely, “Cyclone” “You Bet.” “Penn sylvania,” “Rough Rider.” “Dead Shot.” “Old Glory.” “Lookout.” and “Prince Henry. Up to the present time the company have only prosecuted location work, but a well defined ledge in places is ex posed on the surface running through the full length of the property. ‘The values of the ledge run to gold and silver and excellent showings have been made. It is the purpose of the company to set a contract for driving a tunnel either 100 or 200 feet along the ledge ‘and expect to attain a depth of three and one-half feet to one. At the meeting last night It was de cided to wait for further bids which ‘will be opened at their next meeting, Monday, January 11. Gentlemen Will Receive At the home of Dr. Phillips and Mrs. Phillips, 43 Prospect avenue, the fol lowing gentlemen will receive tomor row: Messrs. Kjos, McGilvery, Babb, Phillips and E. Moniece. At the home of J. E. Kincaid and Mrs. Kincaid, 114 Fourth avenue, the following gentlemen will receive: Messrs. Crum, VanBrandt, Giboney, Carson and Donaldson. At the home of George W. Temple, 208 Fourth avenue, the following gen tlemen will receive: Messrs My Thomas, Ray Morris, and McNace. Notice All parties owing the Domestic Steam Laundry are warned not to pay the same to Sam C. Hutchins, as he is not in the employ to said Invyndry nor is he authorized to receive moneys for it Dec, 24-81. S. R. HENRY. Prop.
