T. W. HOBRON GIVES FLAG POLE Yachts Myrtie, Clytie, Ojo, Gladys, Hawaii and Marion Set Penants Yachts Myrtle, Cyitie, Oio, Gladys, stitution is Discussed. There was a good attendance last evening at the meeting of the Hawaii Yacht Club, which was held at the Office of P. L. Weaver, on Merchant street. Mr. PL. Weaver presided at the meeting After the reading of the minutes of the last meeting, th con stitution of the club was discussed article by article. Hereafter there will be a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, port captain or manager, and two directors. Several names were mentioned for the posi tions but no definite action was taken it was decided that no attempt should be made to build a club house for the next six months, but that the present building should be repair ed and a canal be added. Commodore T. W. Hebron was giv en a vote of thanks for his donation of a flagpole to the club It is 95 feet long and will soon be sent to Pun loa. The members are confident that it will be rigged up and flying the club colors on the club land by St. Valentine's Day, next February. The Myrtle, which made the handi cap race home from Ford's Island in one hour and forty-one minutes, received the cup presented for that race by T. W. Hobron. Penants were distributed to the Marion, class 2; the Ofo, class 3, and the Clyde, class 4, in the run down. To the Gladys, class 1;the Hawaii, class 3, and the Clutie of No. 4, in the race around Ford's Island. The penants, as well as the club, now belongs to the boats and not necessarily to the men who sailed them. After some discussion In regard to the proposed spring regatta the meet ing adjourned.
