International Year of Disabled Persons 1981 Province of Alberta THANK YOU! The Alberta Committee for International Year of Disabled Persons extends their heartfelt thanks to all individuals, groups, associations and private firms who contributed in their own special way to making 1981 significant as The International Year of Disabled Persons. Now that 1981 is drawing to a close, the Alberta Committee is hopeful the progress made this year to reach the theme set by the United Nations “Full Participation and Equality” will continue into 1982 and beyond. Your personal awareness and interest in disabled persons is a first step in accepting all people into the community as full participating members.
