A one-man third quarter rally in which Palmer got .so hot he sizzled set the Sixth Marines’ entry back on their heels. The Battery “F” unbeaten team continued their winning ways by taking Headquarters, 1st, 6th by 25 to 11 in a game that saw another forward get rtdhut and sink them from all angles. Tlzzolino paced the winners by 'sinking seven field goals.The first quarter of the opening gfcme was certainly a honey. Both thams guarded so closely and well tliat the scorfe at the end of the period was only 3 to 2 in favor of the Sixth Regiment entrant. Honsowetz’ field goal and free throw gave them the one point lead while Solomon replaced for the Fourth entry.Neither team could do so much in the second period either as the guards bore down. In this instance it was the beautiful checking of Rook and Honsowetz that held the score down. With Palmer and LePointe netting field foals and Miller and Bradley replying with a free throw and a field goal the half ended with the losers in the lead by 8 to 6.After thfe interval Solomon sank One for the winners and Honsowetz tossed a charity throw and then the Scuttling started. Palmer gave notice Of what was to come when he stood on the sideline and sank a honey. Lewis followed with a free throw and then the one man whirlwind named Palmer sank four field goals and one free throw to give the winners an insurmountable lead of 21 to 9. Man. No team could stand such pressure and Company “H”, 6th, broke under the strain.The last quarter produced almost nothing for the winners as the best they could do was add a field goal and free throw to their score while the losers rallied to count six points.
