DAY, DECEMBER 30, 1927COUNTT SEJIT [i NEWS ITEMSCenter, Texas, Dec. 28.—Sheriff Burns told the Times•correspondent that in spite of the vast throng: of people who were here on Saturday, which was Christmas eve, there was no disorder or bad behavior of any kind. There were no auto wrecks, no fights nor any kind of disturbance.Christmas in Center was featured by many family reunions in honor of those, who had been absent from the old home for months.and years, and had returned for just one day daring the holiday season.All city and rural schools in Shelby county dismissed forthe week and will resumework again Monday of next week.District court completed its fiEal work on Friday evening of last week. and adjourned until the February term which starts the second Monday in the month named.Ben Thrasher, who has been janitor at the court house the past year, has ratified and his place has been filled by the appointment of Alfred Webb, who will take charge of the work, January 1-The reunion of the Weaver family held on Christmas day at the residence of Marion Weaver, was attended by many, relatives and kinsmen: Marion Weaver and his family. Ernest weaver and family, Noble Weaver and family. Wool wine Weaver and family. Vernon Weaver and family. Mrs. V. T. Weaver and Mr. and Mis. J. E. Wilmore and family of Shreveport.
