Besides the tunnels mentioned, the properties of the Sevier Consolidated have beenfurther prospected by means of shafts, opencuts, winzes, etc., along the strike of theveins a distance of 2,000 feet. The minesare easily accessible to the Rio GrandeiWestern railroad. Sevier station is the4r-nearest point on that road, being twelve miles distant. The wagon road to Sevier is good and is down hill all the way from the mine.
