Five Injuries In Yule MishapsOnly one auto accidend marred the three day holiday weekend but three other accidents during the week caused five injuries in the county.A head-on collision in the thick fog that blanketed the county last Wednesday caused four injuries and demolished two vehicles. A 1966 Dodge driven by William Jackson Braddy Jr. of Junction City pulled out to pass an unidentified vehicle and collided head-on with a 1957 Chrysler traveling north, driven by Tallie Gray of Butler.The accident occured at 7:50 a.m., December 20, 2.2 miles north of Butler on Hwy. 19. Both drivers were listed by the Thomaston State Patrol office as being injured as well as two passengers in the Braddy vehicle, Mrs. Braddy and Gail Braddy. The injured were treated and admitted to the Montgomery Hospital.Ralph E. Duncan of Butler lost control of his car on a county road 3.8 miles south of Reynolds on December 21 at 9:30 p.m. and hit an embankment. No injuries were reported in the mishap.A rear-end collision on Hwy. 96, December 22 also was reported to have caused no injuries. Willie Edward Coleman of Reynolds was traveling west on 96 and was slowing to pull off the road when he was hit from the rear by a vehicle driven by Harold D. Drains of Butler.The only other injury occurred on Christmas Day in a single car accident on a county road 9.9 miles west of Butler.A vehicle driven by Sidney B. Fryer of Juniper struck and killed a mule and Mr. Fryer was listed by the Thomaston Office of the Georgia Highway Patrol as being injured in the wreck.
