» What began as plans for a reunion of Ms. Delos W. Canfield of South Pasadena, California, with her four widely-scattered children and their families, developed into one of the largest Christmas dinners in Chardon this year.Mr, and Mrs, Lee R. Texas All nine family are in schools Tennesseefrom Chesterland. her husband, the McClendon, and children from An-Imembers of this this year enrolled and colleges in or Texas wherekVMiss Wright Honored in College ‘Who’s Who’they are spending a sabbatical leave from the work of the parents in Chilpanclngo,Mexico, under the Presbyterian Board of Missions,Aside from the immediate family (which includes two sets of twins) the dinner party of forty - four included closely related Canfields from northeastern Ohio as well as descendants of Mrs. Canfield own family, the Thompsons.Mary Thompson, whose father was a Congregational minister in Claridon and Chardon, attended school here and wTas here married to Delos W. Canfield,The arrangements for the dinner were handled chiefly by Mr. and Mrs, Lee R, Canfield and Mr, and Mrs. Ira Canfield. Others who were present were Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Pease of Chardon; Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Pease of Mrs. Miriam Spaulding, with whom her mother makes liei home, flew here from South Pasedena with her son Lin-c oln,From Rochester, N, Y., the elder-son, Dr. D. Lincoln Canfield came with his wife and family, including three grand children. Dr. and Mrs, Canfield have just returned from Bogota, Colombia, where he spent six months as a Ful-bmht professor, teaching the graduate students and doing linguistic research.The youngest, Juliet Jane. Sol fridge Air Force Base, Michigan with their sons. Hu* h and Peter; Mr, and Mrs, James Fenwick of Cleveland Heights; Mr, and Mrs, William Olmsted and three daughters of Cleveland; Mr. andMrs. Rob Canfield of Lansing, Mich,; Mrs. Harry Wise and children of Euclid; Miss Lee Canfield and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Raab. all at present living in Chesterland ;Miss Janet Canfield and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kettles, with their three children, all of Rochester.Have You MetMr. and Mrs John Rud-ncy, and their daughter, Barbara Ann, 14 months, who live on Woodin Rd, in Chardon; Mr. Rudney is assistant supervisor, of tube room, Chardon Rubber. They came here frm Pain-esville.Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schmid, 329 Cynthia Dr., Chardon? They have one son. Tommy, 13 months old.
