Sgt. Emmett Parker, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Parker of Newmoore, has been missing in action in Korea since November 29, they were informed by the War Department Tuesday. Sgt. Parker's wife and baby live at Lame, Mr. and Mrs. Parker recently had a letter from Jime dated No vember 20, in which he said he was leader in charge of a group of South Korean soldiers then at the Manchurian border awaiting orders. He had been with the Second Division, and in September had been awarded the Silver Star for distinguished service in action. Emmett first entered the Army in 1943, and saw service in the South Pacific in World War II. He was released in early 1946, but six months later re-enlisted and was sent to Italy. There, he met and in January, 1948, was married to Edi Pressler, a native of that country. In November, 1948, his wife joined him in the States. Since he went overseas this last time, she and thief in fant child have been living with Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Parker until moving to Samesa recently. Two other sons of the Parkers are in the Army. Cpl. L. D. Parker, 20, also is in Korea with the 10th Corps, which he has been in a desper ate position and has lost heavily. Their last letter from him was dated December 9. A third sun, Cpl. Lewis Parker, 24, is stationed at Fort Hood, but bias already received notice he will be shipped to the Pacific. All three Parker boys were born at Rogers, Bell county, but came to Lynn county with their parents in 1928. They attended school at Newmoore and O'Don nell
