Capt. John ‘T Hecker, formerly of Moline, returned to Camp Bowie in Texas’ this morning after com pleting a 15-day leave before going overseas. Captain and Mrs. Hecker have been visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs, 8, M Darling, 154 Nineteenth avenue, and with Mr. and Mi.. Edgar Hecker of Flint, Mich. Captain Hecker is a doctor who ‘has been attached to the army air corps for two years at Pecos, Tex. [Ventura, Cal. and Taft, Cal.’ He is now attached to an evacuation hos pital surgical unit. ‘The Darlings have had as guests also their daughter-in-law, Mrs. ‘Stephen G. Darling, and a small daughter, Dottie Stephene, of Town City, Lt. Stephen G. Darling is an armed guard officer aboard a Lib erty, ship, who ‘has been at sea for several months. Standard Club Has Party. Thirty-one members of the Iri- City Standard club gathered last night in the home of Mrs. Mary Dehler, 2421 Ninth avenue, Rock Island, for a Christmas dinner party. Evergreen branches in artistic ar rangement were used as a center piece on each of the two large ta bles which accommodated the guests . Games were enjoyed during the evening and prizes ‘were awarded. ‘An added feature of the evening was a gift exchange ‘The January meeting will be omited and plans for the Febru ary meeting will be announced later ‘thompson-Smith. Miss Georgia Thompson of Dav venport was married to Jesse Smith of East Moline on December 21, by the Rev. Fred J.
