WILLIAM HOY HIESCHRISTMAS EVENINGWilliam Hoy, native of York, passed away Sunday evening in the Miller hospital, Williamsburg. He was stricken at his home in York with apoplexy a few days before his death and was brought to the hospital the end coming Sunday evening.The funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at St. Michael's church, Holbrook, at 9:30, the High Mass of Requiem was celebrated by Father Manning, St. Michael's choir singing the responses.Father Manning preached a becoming sermon and officiated at the grave*The interment was in the family lot where repose the bodies of the parents.The pallbearers were: John Me-Cune, Frank Spratt, John Malloy, Leo Mahan and Peter J. Kelly.The funeral was attended by a rge gathering, many being pretlMea large gathering, many being present from Williamsburg and Parnell.William Hoy was born in York township, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hoy. He was in his 73th are four brothers: Martin and John of York, Thomas in Minnesota, and James in Merced, Calif. One sister, Mrs. James Grace, Cedar Rapids, also survives.With the exception of a few years in which he was in business in Cedar Rapids, he lived tiis entire life- in York, residing not far from the place of his nativity. He was a life Tong member of the Catholic church, was a man of exemplary habits, loved peace, was charitably inclined, and When, he passed away the old friends and neighbors were touched with areal regret.Tenderest sympathies to the bereaved relatives.
