SCIENTIFIC WALKING.Jesse and Warren Buffura, two students of Harvard, are engaged {according to the '’telegraph') in walking from■ i i i ri i.\ 1 i 1brothers were selected by tk© physical director of Harvard as being of almost equal physique. It was decided that«n© should be trained on a meat and cue on a vegetarian diet and that each should adhere to his particular form of diet during the walk. No alcohol is allowed. The third stage of the tramp is over, the pedestrians have reached Denver, and America is considerably excited by the discovery that Warren, the vegetarian, is in much better condition than his brother. Meat-eaters believe that Jesse will outlast his brother, but there seems as yet no parent but wishing to this thought. Warren declares be longs for meat fit the end of a long tramp and is heartily sick of vegetables; but this is possibly because he is only a pro tern, vegetarian. The brothers take a double room wherever they stay, but they, make a point of sleeping on the roof of the hotel, in woollen bags and waterproof coverings. They have thus Blejpt, or at least passed,through several bhzcards.
