LA PALOMA BEING RERIGGED. Matters Regarding the New Club Site | at Puuloa to be Discussed—Big | Regatta Contemplated at End =1| January in Full Moon Time. ‘ All the members of the Hawaii Yacht Club are requested to attend a meeting on Monday evening at the Office of Secretary P. S. Weaver. Mat ters regarding the new club site are to be discussed. The club will prob ably not build as new club house be fore the railroad reaches Puulga, but the land will be purchased and the buildings at present on the site will be fitted out so that they can serve for future regattas. If the weather permits the club will have its next regatta on January 25, when there will be a full moon The recent southerly winds have put a temporary stop to yachting and a change in the winds is hoped for. La Paloma, Clarence Macfarlane’s yacht, is going through a complete change at Pearl Harbor and has had all the sticks taken out preparatory to being fitted with a yawl tig. Her foremast is to be restepped and will be placed in a perpendicular position. The figger mast will be placed way aft and a new boom will be made for the yawl sail. The removal of the Sticks has lightened the yacht con siderably. The features of the proposed regatta are kept secret at present. A booklet containing general information about, the club, the names of the members and pictures of all the boats belong ing to the club will soon be issued.
