ADAIR — William W. Adair, 49, a resi dent of Albuquerque for the past nine dars, died in a local hospital Saturday allowing an illness. He is survived by his wife, Cora L. Adair; one son, Joey Adair; one daughter, Pamela Adair; all of Albu querque; his mother, Mrs. Alice Rogers,a sister, Mrs. Martha Leverenz of Livermore, Calif., one aunt, Mrs. E. B. Thurston of El » Tex., and several nieces and . He was a member of Immanuel et ate where he had been a of and @ present member of the of trustees. He was a past president of Alerque Division of New Mexico Claims Mens Association and past chair man of the Board of Governors, past presi dent of Bell Toastmasters, former Webelos leader and commmittedman of pack 165 Boy Scouts of America, member of American Legion-Carlisle Bennett Post No. 13. The family prefers donations be made to the Heart Association or to Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Memorial service sill be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Im manuel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Paul Calhoun off dating. Interment will follow in Fairview Park Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Romero; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Frances McDonald and Miss Mary Theresa Romero; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrado Garcia. He was a life 5eee of Albuquerque, a mem ber of Lady of Ga pe Church, a graduate of Valley High School and a Veteran of Vietnam War. Funeral ar rangements are pending and will be an nounced by the Garcia Mortuary, 8th and Silver SW. TACHIAS—Mrs. Erlinda Tachias, 61, of 819 Iron SW, died Sunday morning following an illness. Mrs. Tachias was a resident of Albuquerque the last 22 years, coming here from Bernalillo. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Max; five sons, serving in the U.S. Army at Ft. Mead Md., Rudy of Washington, D.C., Max Jr., Arnold and Charlie Tachias of Albuquerque. She also is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Lopez of San Fernando Valley, Calif., Mrs. Orpha Lopez of Lawton, Ohio., Mrs. Nor Mendez and Mrs. Ge of Albuquerque; a brother, Sigfredo Baca of Pena Bianca; four sisters, Mrs. Adelaida Ortiz and Mrs. Requela Baca, both of Ber nalillo, Mrs. Luz Hovey and Mrs Cecelia de la O, both of Albuquerque, and 21 grandchildren, Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, time and place to be announc ed by Garcia Mortuary, Eighth and Stover Sw. VARNTZ—Services for Mrs. Cordelia M. Varntz will be held this afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Monte Vista Christian Church with Dr. Theo O. Fisher and Rev. W. Ford offi ciating. Mrs. Varntz will be in state in the Chapel of the Monte Vista Christian Church from 1 p.m. until service time. The follow ing will serve as escorts: Fred Orrino, Elliott Knapp, Walter McNutt, Earl Boyle, Charles Canfield, and Bill Walker. The family prefers, in lieu of flowers, contribu tions may be made to the Woodhaven Christian Home in care of the Monte Vista Christian Church. Interment will be made in Sunset Memorial Park.
