Miss Virginia Kraft, who teaches at Tama, is spending her vacation with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kraft. She accompanied her parents to Rock Falls to spend Christmas with their daughter and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Borchardt and children. Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Buf fington and family of Buffalo were Christmas Eve guests of Mrs. Buffington's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pross. Mrs. Nola Gill of Kansas City has been a guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Pross and her children, who make their home with the grandparents. Mrs. Bill Kottke has re turned to her home after spending three and a half months caring for Mrs. Rena Stuelke. Rose Henninger of Waverly is caring for her now. Mrs. Kottke had dinner with Mrs. Stuelke Wednesday noon, and reports a nice vis it with her. Weekend guests in the Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Kuehne home included Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rippey, Debbie and Arthr, Jr., of Elmont, Nebr.; Miss Judy Kuehne and her friend of Waterloo and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nelson of Horton. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fisher, Mrs. Guy Tracy and Mrs. Harold Freeburg attended the Eldon Carpenter funeral services at Horton Thursday afternoon. Miss Caralyn Dann, who teaches at Lake Mills, is spending a short vacation with her mother, Mrs. Leona Dann. Joining them on Sun day for Christmas dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dan of Albert Lea, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Liddle and family of Plainfield; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dann and family of Waverly; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dann and son and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dann of Waterloo and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Dann of Bradford. They were guests there over Christmas with their daughter and sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cline and family. Guests over Christmas of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Usher in Bradford were Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Buss of Rockford, Ill.: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Usher and baby of Cedar Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Usher and family of rural Sonia and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Fisher of Charles City. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Roy and two children of Charles City, Mrs. Jessie Wood and Mrs. Jessie Hanscom and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Green and son were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Geffe and two sons. Many of the invited guests for the dinner had to stay home, being sick with flu. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Nelson spent the weekend at Mor ton, Minn., with Mr. Nelson's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Keefe, who were ill.
