Norbert Reicks of Lawler, has been named Champion Corn Grower in Chickasaw County, it was announced by Farmers. Hy brids of Hampton, Iowa, sponsors of the Champion Corn Growers Contest. Mr. Reicks’ record that brought this honor to him shows the ap plication of sound land manage ment practices and the use of ad apted hybrid varieties. Reicks’ record of 140.2 bushels per acre was made with “Farmers” 409. This yield is adjusted to a uniform basis of 15446 moisture. The 140.2 bushels is the yield of No. 2 corn.
