For Being Butted Off the Lake Erie Track---New Suits Filed. Charles A. Smith, by his attorneys, Pierce Bonham, has filed a suit for $1,900 damages against the Lake Erie and Western Railroad company for damages sustained in being knocked off the track by an engine of the com pany on the 25t of last October. Smith is a resident of Eaton who was driving towards his home on the evening of the day named at the crossing of the Ritter gravel road, south of the Hartford City window glass factory, and was run down by a train. He was thrown about eighty feet and picked up for dead. He was taken to his home at Eaton and for a long time was not expected to live, but he is now able to bring suit. His buggy was smashed to pieces and his horse was killed in the collision, Blackford Building and Loan asso ciation vs. Jennie Powell et al. To toreclose mortgage. Demand, $1,000.
