Performance Astounds Crowds at Majestic. Three Other Groups Feature Billing The most astounding performance of the season on the Majestic thea ter vaudeville program opened Sat urday—Mercedes and Mile.Stantone. Their number thrilled and mystified the large audiences. The billing of the act as “marvel ous and amazing” is true in every sense of the word. Mercedes takes music from minds of persons in the audience and mentally projects it through space to Mlle. Stantone, who names the selection and plays it on the piano, Mercedes proceeds through the aisles, asks that a person think only of a song. He says nothing to Mile. Stantone. The number may be eith er classical or popular music. In the few cases where Mercedes is unable to project the name of the selection to Mile. Stantone through the mental telepathy, the person asking for the song is requested to think of the music. Milo Stantone then plays the music. Three other good acts are on the R-K-O lineup. The Hack and Mack tri number known as “Some Finish is a clever, remarkable acrobatic performance. Billy and Eddie Gor man in “Tropical Song Writers” give audience the laughs of the pro gram through songs. Four young sters, billed as the “Four Franken bergs,”” provide brilliant clog danc ing, vocal selections and instrument al music.
