Harker Stoddard completed a rather large land deal last week, disposing ol the Manhattan Hotel and taking in the trade 1017 acres of land in Eddy county, North Dakota, besides $10,000 in cash. F. W. Converse, of Estherville, gets the hotel property. The total amount of transfer in this transaction will foot up to about $120,000 and is the largest single land deal manipulated in northwestern Iowa the past season. The Manhattan hotel is in good haude, but what disposition will be made of it the coming season we are unable to learn. —Spirit Lake Herald.
