Benjamin Keithley Ts IK*ad.Death came suddenly and unexpectedly to Benjamin FranklinKeith ley at the home of his niece, Mrs. Frank Harrison, last Monday noon. Mr. Keithley was in his usual good health and attended church Sunday morning. Monday morning at 5 o’clock his niece was awakened by a noise in Mr. Kelthley’s room and upon entering she found him in ihe throes of death. A physician was summoned and he pronounced it ap-poplexy, death resulting as above stated.Deceased was nearly 73 years of age, having been born near St. Charles, Mo., March 4, 1834. He removed to Galena when a boy and resided there until 1881 when he located at Clinton, la. About three months ago he came to Bellevue to make his home with his niece, Mrs.Frank Harrison. He was marriedtwice and was the father of two sons and two daughters. The latter. Mrs. Andrew Layeox of Clinton and Mrs. Will Grim of Mt. Carroll were present at the funeral which was held Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Memmott officiating, assisted by the choir of the Presbyterian church. The pallbearers were M. Maloney, W. K. Henton, W. M. Keister, Sam Campbell, William Harrison, Eli Nelson. Interment was in the north cemetery.
